Highlands School District is proud to announce that we have again met Adequate Yearly Progress (AYP) on the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) tests. As a result, the Pennsylvania Department of Education honored Highlands School District schools with Keystone Achievement Awards in recognition of outstanding academic performance.

The award is given to public schools that have achieved adequate yearly progress (AYP) for two consecutive years. AYP is determined in part by a school's performance on the Pennsylvania System of School Assessment (PSSA) tests, given annually to students in grades 3 to 8 and 11. Schools within the District have received the award previously.
