  • District Statement Regarding the Incident at Highlands High School on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019: At Highlands, the safety and security of all of our students is our number one priority. Although student matters cannot be discussed, the administration is taking the appropriate steps to address this incident in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the school district.

  • SAT PREP COURSE: Penn State New Kensington is offering an SAT Prep Course over the span of six consecutive Saturdays: Jan. 26, Feb. 2, 9, 16, 23 and March 2. Classes are from 9am-12noon. The book used in the class will be The Official SAT Study Guide, 2018 Edition. Cost: $175 (does not include the book); $200 (includes book) Online Registration: Register for the SAT Prep Course

  • ATTENTION SENIORS: Any HHS senior who needs to complete a Keystone project for literature must have the project turned in to Mr. Valenti or Mrs. Katz by Feb. 1, 2019. If you need the assignment, copies are in the front office or see Mr. Valenti or Mrs. Katz.

  • 2019 NACAC Pittsburgh National College Fair is Thursday, Februrary 7 from 9am–12pm and 6:30pm-9pm and Friday, February 8 from 9am–12pm at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Students planning to attend should register online at student registration prior to the event. See also the informational flyer.

  • DONATION OPPORTUNITY: Highlands High School Engineering students will compete in Western PA's BotsIQ this spring. The students are in need of donors and sponsors for their robot projects. Please access the donation letter to see how you can help support this endeavor! Thank you!

  • ATTENTION 9th GRADE PARENTS: The High School counselors invite parents of 9th graders to join them as they meet with your 9th grader during the school day.  In doing so, they hope to make the transition to high school a bit easier.  Please email your student’s counselor or call the High School office at 724-226-1000 to schedule.  Counselor contact information may be found here.
