  • District Statement Regarding the Incident at Highlands High School on Thursday, Jan. 17, 2019: At Highlands, the safety and security of all of our students is our number one priority. Although student matters cannot be discussed, the administration is taking the appropriate steps to address this incident in accordance with the policies and procedures set forth by the school district.

  • ATTENTION SENIORS: Any HHS senior who needs to complete a Keystone project for literature must have the project turned in to Mr. Valenti or Mrs. Katz by Feb. 1, 2019. If you need the assignment, copies are in the front office or see Mr. Valenti or Mrs. Katz.

  • HIGHLANDS TAXPAYERS: Please note that by law as of December 31, 2018, local tax collectors are not permitted to continue collecting real estate tax payments for the 2018 year. Any accounts with unpaid balances have been transferred to the district’s delinquent tax collector, Weiss Burkardt Kramer LLC. Before making any 2018 tax payments, please contact Karlie Kovach, WBK Tax Collection Specialist, Delinquent Tax Collections Department at 412-391-0160. Thank you.

  • 2019 NACAC Pittsburgh National College Fair is Thursday, Februrary 7 from 9am–12pm and 6:30pm-9pm and Friday, February 8 from 9am–12pm at the David L. Lawrence Convention Center. Students planning to attend should register online at student registration prior to the event. See also the informational flyer.

  • AC Moore logo STEAM GRANT: Kudos to elementary computer teacher Mr. Andrew Lynch! He recently received another $100 grant from AC Moore to buy STEAM supplies for Highlands Elementary School. AC Moore is an American arts and crafts retail chain with 141 locations in the eastern United States.

  • HIGHLANDS FAMILY OPEN SWIM NIGHTS will be held every Monday and Wednesday that school is in session from 6:30-8:00pm at the High School pool beginning Nov. 19. 2018. This free swim program is only open to Highlands families and residents. Questions should be referred to Ms. Kathy Black at kblack@goldenrams.com.
