  • INCREDIBLE YEARS PARENTING PROGRAM: Highlands parents of children ages 2-10 are invited to participate in this free parenting program sponsored by Wesley Family Services. It will be held virtually on Thursdays beginning Feb. 11 through June 10. For more information and details about enrolling, please check out this flyer

  • RETURN TO IN-PERSON LEARNING: Students in the Hybrid instructional model will return to in-person learning beginning TUESDAY, JAN. 19. As a reminder, Group A attends school in person on Mondays/Tuesdays and Group B attends school in person on Wednesdays/Thursdays. All students will attend school remotely on Fridays. There is no school for students on Monday, Jan. 18 due to the Martin Luther King Jr. holiday.

  • WIFI HOT SPOTS: Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh is offering a WiFi hotspot lending program for remote learners in Allegheny County. After providing some general information to determine eligibility, adult learners and teachers and the parents, guardians or caregivers of PreK-12 students will be able to pick up a hotspot at a CLP branch location and borrow it through June 2021.   • SENIOR CAP & GOWN ORDERS: Seniors who have not yet ordered their cap and gown for graduation should do so by Jan. 15, 2021. After that date, the cost increases each month, and orders after May 1 are not guaranteed to arrive before graduation. For more details and and order form, please click here: Cap & Gown Order Form.

  • PROBLEM WITH A DISTRICT DEVICE? If a student Chromebook or iPad is in need of repair, to please contact your child's teacher or the school office so that a work order ticket for the computer can be processed. An IT staff member will contact you after receiving the ticket. Thank you.

  • RAMS DEN OPEN BY APPOINTMENT: Highlands High School students in need of any items from the Rams Den (clothes, shoes, boots, jackets, toiletries, etc.) should arrange a visit by contacting Ms. Black at kblack@goldenrams.com or calling Mrs. Foster at 724-226-1000, ext. 4163.

  • THE SCHOOL MEALS DISTRIBUTION process during full remote learning (Dec. 1-Jan. 15) will remain the same. Unless otherwise announced, families should sign up for meals from Thursday until Tuesday by 4:00 pm the following week. Meals will be distributed on the following Fridays - Dec. 4, Dec. 11, Dec. 18, Jan. 8 and Jan. 15. There will be no meal distributions on Dec. 25 and Jan. 1 due to the holidays. During full remote learning, all students registered through the sign up form will receive 5 meals for the week.
