    Hello Everyone!

    On the behalf of the entire IT Department, welcome back to Highlands School District! We hope everyone had a wonderful summer, and is excited for the new school year!

    We have a great deal of new and exciting technology we are eager to bring into the district this year. Starting in the summer and concluding the first half of this school year, the IT Department is performing a series of technology upgrades throughout our IT Infrastructure. Once these upgrades are concluded, this will allow us to spread technology throughout the district in greater volume than in the past. All the while maintaining a safe, secure, and reliable network. 

    We are also proud to announce that the district has offically started rolling out Google's G Suite for Education into the classrooms. To learn more about G Suite for Education, please visit our G Suite for Education section. 

    In addition to the new technology initiatives, we are also working to upgrade all the legacy equipment throughout the district. This will cover computer upgrades in all our libraries, TechEd, and Steam classrooms, as well as select specialized labs. We are also rolling out HP Chromebooks to replace many of the old Lenovo carts and HP Tablets scattered throughout the district. 


    Our goal in the IT Department is to not only bring new technology into the district, but to make the technology integrate into the classroom as seamless as possible...To help us achieve these goals, we are going to bring more resources to all our staff. These resources will make it easier to receive the information they need, when they need it.

    This will include an HSD Staff Members IT Site, an HSD IT YouTube Channel, and an HSD Tech Tips Community within Google+. We’re also going to work with our building principals to schedule technology training sessions for our staff.

    Last, but certainly not least, we aim to provide the best support possible for both our students and staff. So we will be collecting your feedback by conducting periodic surveys. So please be honest and let us know how we are doing!
