NOTICE is hereby given that the Board of School Directors of the Highlands School District shall conduct a public hearing under Section 780 of the Public School Code of 1949 as amended 24 P.S. §7-780 to receive public comment on the proposed permanent closing of the Highlands Support Center formerly known as the Fawn Elementary School. The hearing will be held on Monday, February 11, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. prevailing time in the Auditorium of the Highlands High School located at 1500 Pacific Avenue, Natrona Heights, PA 15065.

    Anyone wishing to participate may register with Michele Bloch, Secretary to the Board by mail at P.O. Box 288 Natrona Heights PA 15065 by 12:00Noon on Friday, February 8, 2019 or you may sign up to speak when you enter the meeting. Anyone who has not signed up in advance will be permitted to speak only after all those who have registered have had the opportunity to speak. Each speaker will be given a maximum of three (3) minutes for comment. An individual speaking on behalf of a group may speak for a maximum of five (5) minutes. Individuals wishing to present written comments may present them at the hearing. The hearing will be stenographicially reported and any written comment shall be included in the transcript of the proceedings.
