FREE MEALS FOR CHILDREN IN THE SUMMER
The Summer Food Service Program (SFSP), a federal child nutrition program, offers free, nutritious meals to children 18 years and younger when school is not in session. There are approximately 2,500 locations throughout Pennsylvania that serve breakfast, lunch and/or snacks. Below are the sites and offerings for children in the Highlands community.

The above-named sponsor participates in the Summer Food Service Program. Children meeting the income guidelines for reduced price meals in the National School Lunch Program will be provided meals free of charge at the site.
The income guidelines for free meals, by family size are listed below. Children who are part of households that receive food stamps (SNAP) or benefits under the Food Distribution Program on Indian Reservations (FDPIR), or Temporary Assistance to Needy Families (TANF) are automatically eligible to receive free meals.
The Income Guidelines are to be used for the Summer Food Service Program.
These Guidelines are in effect from July 1, 2024, to June 30, 2025, and change annually.

Sites in the attendance area of a Community Eligibility Provision school are automatically qualified to be enrolled or open sites.
This notice is to be published on the organization’s website or distributed to the families of participating children.
