K4 Recognizes Fire Prevention Week

Students in the Highlands K/4 Preschool classes were treated to a special visit by Citizens Hose Co. firemen and EMTs on October 13 in recognition of Fire Prevention Week (Oct. 3-9).  A firetruck and two ambulances were on site for the children to see firsthand all of the equipment that is used for fire and medical emergencies. Students received a special packet of activities concerning fire prevention and their very own fireman's hat to take home.  Special thanks to K/4 teachers Mrs. Ayres, Ms. Jenson, and Mrs. Murray, who coordinated the event; and to the employees and volunteers of Harrison Township's Citizens Hose Co. who took time from their busy schedules to teach the children about fire safety.
