HHS Student Designs Three Rivers Arts Festival Poster

Arts posterHighlands High School artist Lindsey Huss designed a poster that will be used to promote the Three Rivers Arts Festival in Downtown Pittsburgh. The poster, which Lindsey created by sketching her thumbnails, features a watercolor of the city skyline with a hand drawing a bridge over one of Pittsburgh's three converging rivers.

The design was selected by the Festival Advisory Boards as the best high school submission to creatively represent the festival's mission of connecting community to the arts. Lindsey won a cash prize, an invitation to the Festival's opening reception, a Three River Arts Festival t-shirt and copies of the printed poster.

Lindsey is also a Forbes Road Career and Technology Center student. The festival will be held in June, and features local artists, artisans and musicians.

Congratulations, Lindsey!
