A team of Middle School students placed 2nd in the Rookie of the Year category for the video contest, What's So Cool About Manufacturing? Congratulations to Luca Chiusano, Noah Bushman, Remy Carnahan, Kendall Walter, Peighton Brewer and Jayla Fedoris!

Created by the Manufacturers Resource Center, the contest was designed to excite students to explore cool manufacturing careers and produce profiles of companies in their communities. Highlands students planned out the commercial video, interviewed JV Manufacturing Co, Inc employees and worked with their company liaison to create a video under the supervision of HMS library media specialist Mrs. Jen Kosior. JV employee Amber Wharrey was also in attendance at the awards ceremony.

The award will be on display at the Middle School. Thank you to everyone who voted for Highlands Middle School during the contest and to Catalyst Connection for their support!
