In October, all three of Ms. Jill Aaron's 5th Grade English / Language Arts classes entered the Fall Creative Writing Contest sponsored by Young Writers USA, themed "SOS Sagas: Fright Club".  Students were required to write a mini-saga using 100 words or less, telling a story around the theme and applying 5th grade writing standards and skills. CONGRATULATIONS to the 33 Highlands 5th graders who were chosen as winners! Their work will be published, and a copy of that book will be placed in the classroom. Way to go!
