Mr. Andrew Murphy's 8th Grade History students recently learned about Valley Forge. The students visited the school's makerspace, where they were tasked with creating shoes that could have been worn by soldiers in the winter. With help from library media specialist Mrs. Jen Kosior, students made their shoes out of materials such as paper cups, paper plates, notecards, pipe cleaners, cotton balls, plastic straws and tape. Students were then asked to consider how the roles they were assigned for this project related to their career-focused RIASEC letters and skills.
