In December, two Highlands seniors and two Highlands alumni spent a day at Highlands Middle School teaching first aid, CPR and water safety to the 6th, 7th & 8th grade phys ed classes. Special thanks to alumni and college students Rebecca Young and Suzie Kunst and to seniors Elliot Vunora and Marlie Walters (all who are trained lifeguards) for sharing their knowledge of these important skills! Their visit was arranged by Middle School phys ed teacher Kathy Black.
