CONGRATULATIONS to Highlands Elementary 3rd grader Bayley Kilgore, who is currently sitting at #1 in the WORLD for Girls 8 & Under 1st-3rd Degree Black Belts in Combat Sparring and #1 in the STATE in Forms, Weapons, Combat Sparring and Traditional Sparring! 
Bayley earned her 1st Degree Black Belt in Taekwondo on Dec. 7 at James ATA in Natrona Heights under the instruction of Mr. Teddy James. She is the youngest student at that school to earn a black belt! For the 2023-24 season, Bayley finished #1 in the state of PA in traditional and combat sparring in the 8 and under color belt girls group. Her brother Brantley is also a 1st Degree Black Belt.
A student in Mrs. Chester’s 3rd grade class at HES, Bayley is the daughter of Derek & Brittany Kilgore (HECC paraprofessional) and granddaughter of Mike & Dawn Howells (HES secretary). Congratulations!
