Highlands grades K-8 students in the gifted program (GATE) recently participated in a Live Wax Museum project. GATE teacher Mrs. Rebecca Mentecky asked the students to choose a historical figure to research and create a report. They were also given choices about how they wanted to present their research. The students' families and friends were invited to a Live Wax Museum event, where the students dressed as their historical figures and "came to life" to speak about their contributions to the world.
