2nd Grade "Bite Into Books" Program: Mr. Celko's & Mr. Stinelli's Classes
12/19/2024
This month, the dragons visited the students in Mr. Celko's and Mr. Stinelli's classes. Students were impressed by how much the dragons loved tacos, but hated spicy salsa! Some students loved the spicy salsa, while others felt like the upside down dragon with tummy troubles flying through the air. We can't wait to see what happens in Mrs. Krenzer's class in January!
About "Bite Into Books"...
Throughout the school year, Mrs. Susan Wilson, the youth services librarian at the Community Library of Allegheny Valley, visits each second grade class for a 45-minute lunch period. Students listen to her read the book Dragons Love Tacos while enjoying their lunch, then create a hands-on craft and sample a snack related to the story. The goal is to create the love and enjoyment of books through a school-community connection in an engaging environment that fosters a lifelong love of reading!
