In recognition of National Thank A Police Officer Day on Sept. 21, Highlands students Ava & Quinn Josefoski, Braxton Peake, Mila Ross, and Aiden, Liam & Luca Cottone “adopted” police officers from Tarentum, Harrison Township, Fawn and Highlands School District and delivered to them thank you cards, gift bags with daily essentials and a custom tumbler. The gifts were sponsored by generous donations raised by the National Thank A Police Officer Day- AK Valley Team, which recognized 57 departments (862 officers) this year. Thank you to our local volunteers for their efforts and involvement in this recognition program that just finished its 12th year!
