Students Explore STEM-Focused Industries at Spring Summit
2024
As part of the district's focus on Career & Workforce Readiness, about 200 Highlands students in grades 8-12 attended a STEM Summit this past spring in Pittsburgh. The students visited various Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM)-focused companies around Pittsburgh, such as Microsoft, Google, DuoLingo, Bank of New York Mellon and Titan Robotics. The event was hosted by the Pittsburgh Technology Council.
Thank you to Highlands CWR Coordinator Faith Foster for organizing the experience and to HS Spanish teacher Laura Proano for the photos!
