04/16/2024
CONGRATULATIONS to senior Kalleigh Nerone for her commitment to continue her academic and basketball career at Bloomsburg University. The Huskies compete in NCAA Division II of the PASC.
The Highlands Athletic Department celebrated Kalleigh’s commitment on March 18.
A 4-year Varsity Basketball point guard, Kalleigh also played 8 years of AAU basketball for Slaam Basketball. As one of the area’s top senior girl basketball players, she also represented Highlands in the A-K Valley Cager Classic in March.
After visiting the campus and meeting the welcoming staff of Bloomsburg University, Kalleigh knew it was the right college choice for her. She’s undecided about her major, but hopes to pursue a career in the medical field.
Her family includes mom Michele Bracy, dad Jaerin Bracy, sister Nina Shaw, and brother Ty Hall. Kalleigh is also grateful to her coaches through the years. “I would like to thank Coach Bennis, Coach Eliza, Coach Joe, Coach Bud, and Coach Jamal for shaping me into the player and person I am today,” she said.
Congratulations, Kalleigh!
