Congratulations to the Highlands High School Cast & Crew of Disney's Descendants: The Musical, who presented three spellbinding, magical performances for packed auditoriums the weekend of March 22-24, 2024!
"I personally want to thank everyone involved, whether it was helping to create this production or those that came to watch and support Descendants," said High School musical director Michael Zeiler. "The auditorium was filled with laughter, smiles, and hearts full of magic as our district and community came together for a show-stopping, magical experience." Descendants marked Zeiler's 14th musical as director.
There were a lot of young Descendants fans, some who even came dressed in costume! The children were eager to meet the cast of characters at the Social with the Stars and get autographs and a tour of the set.
Highlands selected Disney’s Descendants for the musical production because this year marks the 100th anniversary of the Walt Disney Company. Throughout the years, countless magical fairytales have been created and enriched the lives of viewers of all ages. "Descendants was the perfect musical to showcase timeless heroes, villains, and princesses as we celebrate the 100 Years of Wonder," said Zeiler. "At its core, Descendants is a musical about empathy, tolerance, and acceptance. We hope this show can be a reminder that no matter where we come from, we are better together," he added.
