A STAR READER!  Read Across America at Highlands Elementary wrapped up on Friday, March 8 with a couple of special guest readers for the entire school! One of those readers was Melanie Taylor of 100.7 Star's Bubba Show, who connected with students and staff through Zoom. Melanie read 3 books, with one being a book that her mom, a former school teacher, wrote about being kind and polite, titled Manneranimals. Melanie was very honored and thrilled to read to all of our students, and we sincerely thank her for volunteering her time! Special thanks to 2nd grade teacher Melissa McCurdy for arranging this experience for our students!
