Important Student Parking, Arrival Procedures for High School Students
Dear High School Families,
The HHS Staff is looking forward to kicking off the 2023-2024 school year and welcoming back our student body! In preparation for their return to school, please carefully review the information below.
STUDENT PARKING LOT:
After taking the feedback that was provided by students, staff, parents/guardians and community members into consideration, the HHS administrators and Director of Transportation have made a significant adjustment to the existing student parking plan. Students will no longer be parking in the lot closest to the Admin Center behind the high school. Instead, students will park in the lot closest to the baseball field adjacent to the pool. For upperclassmen or families with a recent HHS graduate, this was the lot that was previously used for student parking.
STUDENT ARRIVAL/ENTRANCE LOCATIONS:
Students who walk to school, drive to school, or get dropped off by a parent/guardian will now enter the building through the arcade door near the gymnasium on the right side of the courtyard.*
Students who ride the bus to school will now enter through the auditorium doors straight through the courtyard.
*PLEASE NOTE: With the HHS campus currently undergoing many exciting renovations, some areas will be unusable until further notice. One of these renovations will impact the existing arrival procedures. The arcade door near the gymnasium closest to the student parking lot will not be accessible, so ALL students will enter through the courtyard entrances until further notice. Please allow enough time to walk from the parking lot area to the front of the school before the tardy bell at 7:40am.
All students are then welcome to enjoy breakfast in the cafeteria prior to heading to homeroom!
PARKING PERMITS:
Parking permit information will be discussed with students during opening meetings tomorrow and Friday. Specific details will be shared out later this week.
DEVICE DISTRIBUTION:
Aug. 30 (4pm-8pm) and Aug. 31 (4pm-8pm) are the final opportunities to pick up student devices. Please stop by the HHS auditorium to ensure that students are set up for success from the very start.
