Fifteen Highlands HS Musicians Participate in 76th Alle-Kiski Valley Honors Band

Fifteen Highlands High School musicians had the distinct honor of being selected to participate in the 76th Alle-Kiski Valley Honors Band on Friday, January 20, 2023. The concert, hosted by Leechburg Area High School, featured guest conductor, Dr. Jonathan Helmick, who is the Director of Bands and Associate Professor of Music at Slippery Rock University.

Highlands senior Luke Vunora auditioned and earned the flute solo in the concert closer, El Cumbanchero, featured in the video below. Highlands HS Director of Bands is Mr. Matthew Beresik.
