Thanks to our generous Highlands families, staff and community, the High School’s National Honor Society District-Wide Food Drive collected over 1500 items! A noteworthy donation of 250 items came from the Highlands Area Soccer Club, which held a “Stuff the Net” drive at the end of their season. The NHS students, along with sponsors Mrs. Jordan Murdock and Mrs. Mindy Eckenrod, collected the items from each school building this past Monday and took them to the Salvation Army in Brackenridge. They were able to sort and stuff 63 boxes of food that will benefit local families before Thanksgiving. The remaining items were stored in the Salvation Army’s pantry for future use. We appreciate all who donated and helped make the Food Drive such a success!
