New Book Vending Machines Serve as Incentive for Achievement, RAMS Behavior, Attendance
In an effort to provide a reward incentive for HES & HECC students, the Highlands K-4 PTO and Elementary School MTSS Interventionist Mrs. Megan Zendarski wrote a DONORS Choose school project for two Inchy’s Bookworm vending machines. Through the donations of parents and community members and the PTO, as well as having a matching donor in the Perry & Donna Golkin Family Foundation, the project was fully funded at a cost of $9,563.06!
We are very thankful to the following for their generous donations:
The Perry & Donna Golkin Family Foundation
The Highlands K-4 PTO
Melissa Roenigk
Brittany Jewart
Sally Coyne
Sarah Witucki
Erina Ratliff
Laura Butler
John Mesko
Kristen McIntire
Jennifer Bonnett
The students will be able to earn a coin for a new book from the vending machine through displaying RAMS behavior, academic achievement, and good attendance. "We want to encourage a life-long love of reading with this book vending machine and are excited to add something new to the HECC and HES to support our students," said Mrs. Zendarski.
