A Wide "Range" of Possibilities!

In March, students in Miss Jennifer Arnold’s and Mr. Joe Bolla’s 7th grade math classes displayed their knowledge of basic statistics through a culminating poster project and presentation.

In order to generate numerical results, students created two comparative survey questions to ask of two groups, collected responses, and analyzed the results. For each set of data, they identified the mean, median, mode, range and interquartile range. They also produced dot, box-and-whisker, and stem-and-leaf plots and recorded all of the data on posters.

Students gave a 3-5 minute presentation to the class on their topic and findings. Check out their creative posters!
