High School 2021-22 Scheduling Process Begins Feb. 18
High School Parents/Guardians,
As we head into Spring of 2021 we will be approaching an important step in your child’s education and future: scheduling classes for the upcoming 2021-2022 school year. Selecting the appropriate courses is a decision that should carefully be made to best prepare your son or daughter for their post-secondary education or career. We understand that this process can be difficult and overwhelming at times, and feel it is best done in a collaborative fashion between students, parents, school counselors, and teachers.
To better facilitate this collaboration and provide more support to your child throughout the scheduling process, we will be holding an Informational Scheduling Zoom Meeting on Tuesday, February 16, 2021 from 5:30 p.m. to 6:30 p.m.
You can access the parent meeting here:

The school counselors and high school administration will give an overview of required courses and graduation requirements. The information shared can also be accessed using the Highlands High School Program of Studies (also located on the High School webpage). In addition, a video highlighting each department’s elective offerings can be found on the High School webpage. School counselors will also be available to answer student-specific questions at any time during the registration timeline.
All course selections will be completed online using the Power School Parent Portal; thus, allowing you to enter the course requests with your son or daughter at home. The registration window will be open on Thursday, February 18, 2021 and will close on Tuesday, February 23, 2021 at 6:00 p.m. School counselors will be available throughout the time frame to assist with scheduling. Please review your student’s course selections before submitting the requests. Families with any scheduling questions or technical questions please call the Highlands High School office at 724-226-1000 to set up an appointment. We are here to ensure all of your questions are answered.
We hope that you take advantage of this opportunity to work together in building the best program possible for your son or daughter. Please feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
