Highlands Elementary Teacher Shares Published Book with Students

Duncan 1 Duncan 2 Saving Room 202A

This month, students at Highlands Elementary School are receiving a special treat from the school's very own 4th Grade teacher and author in residence, Mr. Mark Duncan, who is visiting classrooms to share and read aloud his newly published book, Saving Room 202A

Mr. Duncan's book is a creative tale told through the mind of the student. The story finds a third grader whose class is in turmoil with behaviors. Wanting the best for his classmates, he hatches a plan to use kindness to save the class. Saving Room 202A also aligns with strategies used with Positive Behavior in Schools (PBIS), an initiative used at Highlands. After reading the book, Mr. Duncan discusses the writing process and engages students in a Q & A session.

Parents may order Mr. Duncan's book through Amazon link below. He will also autograph the book for the students!
