HHS Class of 2020 Gives Back to Healthcare Workers

As graduates in the midst of a pandemic, the Highlands High School Class of 2020 chose to give back to local healthcare workers as their official class gift. On Wednesday, June 17, the HHS Senior Class Officers Christopher Ratliff (President), Rachel Blackburn (VP), Kara Layhew (Secretary) and Georgia Peters (Treasurer) presented a donation of $2,354 for AHN/Allegheny Valley Hospital's Employee Assistance Fund to hospital President and Chief Executive Officer, Dr. Vicenta C. Gaspar-Yoo. The fund supports employees in need in the event of a critical situation (house fire, disaster, etc.). Hospital representatives were impressed and humbled by the gesture, and were truly grateful for the generous donation.
