Highlands 3rd and 4th grade girls who participated in Girls on the Run (GOTR) program this spring recently received a special home delivery from the school's teacher sponsors - a goodie bag with a T-shirt and brand new pair of sneakers provided by GOTR! 

Girls on the Run is a fun, research-based curriculum that creatively integrates running with a mission to inspire every girl to reach her limitless potential in life. 

The program had just started at Highlands Elementary before the Covid-19 school building closure. GOTR also provided at-home activities online for spring participants.  "I am amazed at how close we got to the girls in such a short time. It is such a wonderful program to build confident, empowered girls," said 3rd grade teacher Mrs. Lauralee Milberger, who was excited to see the girls on the delivery day. "Can't wait to do this program next year," she said.
