HHS Art Students Continue Creativity at Home

Using the concept of “shadowlogy” and inspired by artist Vincent Bal, Highlands High School art students created shadow drawings in one of their most recent remote learning projects in Mrs. Teresa Emeloff’s class.

Students shone a light on or through objects and used their imagination to see what the cast shadows looked like and filled in the details. They had the opportunity to do something similar with food or candy wrappers. Some students said it was nice to eat candy as a part of the assignment!

Based on the work of artist Andy Goldsworthy, the students also participated in a visual journal assignment to set up objects for a photo that communicates a message.

Well done, student artists!
