Highlands Middle School Student Council and sponsors Mrs. Amanda Coulter and Mrs. Natalie Cale collected items donated by students and staff to make holiday gift bags for patients at Platinum Ridge Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Brackenridge. Students were able to provide over 50 gift bags for patients! 

The Highlands Middle School staff organized a "Santa Paws" collection for the animals at the North Side Humane Animal Rescue this holiday season. The staff donated food, toys, treats, cages, blankets and more for the animals.
