HHS Musicians Selected for PMEA District 1 Honors
CONGRATULATIONS to the following Highlands High School students for their recent honors!
Junior Joshua Beck auditioned and was selected as the accompanist for the PMEA District 1 Honors Choral Festival that will be held January 15-17 at South Fayette High School.
Senior Andrew Valasek auditioned and was selected for the District 1 Honors Jazz Festival Second Band on trombone to be held at Pine Richland on February 7-8. Junior Joshua Beck auditioned and was selected for the same Festival in the First Band on piano.
Junior Joshua Beck, senior Abi Welling, and junior Evan Misjeka auditioned and were selected to represent Highlands at the District 1 Honors Band Festival on Nov. 22-23.
The Highlands HS band director is Mr. Matthew Beresik.
