Highlands Celebrates Pink Out Day in Honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month
Whether it was head to toe, or just a pretty bow, Highlands School District staff and students "got their PINK on" Friday, Oct. 18 in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month.
Under the direction of sponsors Kia Jones, Jamee Bonnett and Gretchen Marra, the Highlands Cheerleaders raised $927.50 through the sale of Pink Out T-shirts, bracelets and beads for the district’s Pink Out Day. All of the proceeds will be donated to Change for Cancer, Lower Burrell.
