The Middle School's 5th Grade Tanzanite Team recently studied the concept of compare and contrast. As an instructional activity, the students worked in small groups to compare and contrast unordinary items, such as volcano / lightbulb, and chart the similarities and differences using a Venn diagram.

After the activity, students participated in a “Gallery Walk” to observe and document their peers’ work. "They did a fantastic job," said Mr. Sean Dicer, 5th grade reading/social studies teacher.
