Highlands Recognizes District Retirees

Highlands School Board and Administration held a special recognition for the 2018-19 Highlands School District retirees at the June 25, 2019 School Board Meeting. Superintendent Dr. Monique Mawhinney and Board President Debbie Beale presented those retirees in attendance with a certificate and a gift of appreciation for their years of service to Highlands. In addition, retirees were honored with a cake reception.

Deborah Beucker - 16 years; Middle School Assistant Principal

Carol Bonislawski - 23 years; Food Services – Cook

Thomas Donnelly - 31 years; Middle School Tech Ed teacher

Pamela Kane - 27 years; Food Services – Head Cook at the High School

Paula Lafean - 32 years; Payroll Clerk

Dave Lefik - 31 years; Custodian I at Fawn / Support Center

Deb Milcic - 27 years; 4th grade teacher - Highlands Elementary

Ellen Pishko - 25 years; Reading / Language Arts teacher, Middle School

Mike Stanoski - 40 years; Custodian I – Fairmount / Highlands Early Childhood Center

Rita Youell - 21 years; 1st grade teacher – Highlands Elementary

Chuck Debor - 8 years; Highlands Athletic Director (He remains at HHS as a phys ed teacher.)

 

Although not retiring from education, Dr. Debra Lehew, Director of Special Education, was also recognized for her 30 years of service at Highlands School District. Dr. Lehew resigned effective June 30 to pursue another opportunity in her career.
