Highlands Annual Title I Family Night a "Hoot"!

 

The annual Highlands School District Title I Family Night was a "hoot" for all involved! The evening kicked off with an impressive Owl Exhibit by the National Aviary, followed by a pizza dinner, awards for top Rams Readers, special raffles, free books, and a sneak peek of the High School musical set design and a mini performance by the cast.

 

Congratulations to the following students, who were recognized for reading the most books to date in the Rams Readers program: 

Kindergarten: JB Hood & Ayla Josefoski

1st Grade: Marcus Williams & Suzanna Millen

2nd Grade: Nico Malta & Addison DeLancey

3rd Grade: Aaron Pochan & Hailee Rankin

4th Grade: Ryan Snebold & Felicia Patterson

OLMBSS: Clara Girardi, Kindergarten

 

The Family Night event was coordinated by HSD Curriculum Director Cathy Russo, in conjunction with Substitute Superintendent Dr. Monique Mawhinney, HECC Principal Dr. Heather Bigney, HES principals Samantha Perlik & Kristie Gizienski, Title I coordinating teacher and reading specialist Randy Rybak, Title I reading specialists Nicole Baker, Rachel Crowell, Megan Zendarski, Christine Izydore and Rebecca O'Hara, and MTSS teachers Emily DiMascio and Andrea Thompson
