Varsity Players Inspire "Beast Mode" Gr. 3-6 Basketball Boys

One of the most rewarding nights of the Highlands Boys Youth Basketball Program, Rams Beast Mode, is when the Rams Varsity Coaches and Players come to visit. Each year our young players and coaches look forward to this visit from our Sensational Golden Rams!

On Monday, Dec. 10, Varsity Assistant Coach and JV Head Coach Corey Dotchin brought seniors Seth Cohen and Daniel Thimons and juniors Korry Myers and Johnny Crise to speak to the boys and highlight some of their assets on and off of the court. Coach Dot reassured the younger players that what you do off of the court matters equal too if not more than what you do on the court. He reminded the Rams Beast Mode athletes that you have to be good in the classroom and respectful to your teachers and your peers as well.

In typical Rams Beast Mode style though - the night was not complete without begging one of the Varsity players to put on a show. Thank goodness our very own Johnny Crise stepped up to display his jaw-dropping dunking ability!

Varsity Head Coach Tyler Stoczynski was home tending to his newborn son, but sent along Gatorade for the boys to remind them that he is very proud of their time and hard work to keep the Highlands Boys Basketball Program dominating for years to come.  He also invited them to a youth night at one of the future Home JV and Varsity games where he would like them introduced and on the court to help get the Varsity ready! (Stay tuned!)

Rams Beast Mode is a basketball skills and drills program that runs every year for Highlands boys grades 3rd-6th.  Although this year's program is almost over, we hope to see you next year. The Lady Rams Beast Mode program starts in January. For more information on either of these programs, please contact Kate Bielak at 724-664-9382 or katestevebielak@gmail.com
