On Tuesday, Nov. 20, Kindergarten students at Highlands Early Childhood Center created a Thanksgiving "friendship soup" from classroom donations of vegetables. Teachers emphasized the idea that when everyone works together, they can create something awesome! Students enjoyed their friendship soup the next day, along with bread and apple juice donated by parents and teachers. After eating soup, the students listened to the story, Spookly’s Thanksgiving Dinner, which focuses on the value of friendship and how friendship and family are important.
