Toy Drive Collection Continues Through Dec. 17
Joining communities in holiday cheer, 365 days a year! That is the goal of Highlands High School senior Marissa Callender’s toy drive collection, “Holiday 365”.
For the second consecutive year, Marissa is organized the “Holiday 365” Toy Collection to benefit Highlands children in need this holiday season. “Christmas is a joyous time where giving is known as the best kind of receiving. In many areas, as well as the one we live in, not everyone is fortunate enough to experience this,” said Marissa.
A collection box is located in the Highlands High School office, and donations may also be dropped off at the Administrative Center office. Collections will continue through December 17.
Last year, Marissa collected and wrapped around 120 holiday gifts for children in the Highlands community. Since October, Marissa has collected around 300 donations, and hopes to receive more so she can give more!
