Student Selected as First PMEA District I Accompanist
Highlands High School sophomore Joshua Beck was selected as one of two successful candidates to fulfill the role of student accompanist for the Pennsylvania Music Educators Association (PMEA) District I Choir Festival to be held February 6-8, 2019 at Mt. Lebanon High School.
According to Highlands High School choral director Mr. Michael Zeiler, Josh has made Highlands history and PMEA District I history. “He is the first student to be accepted for this honor since it is the first year that District I has provided the opportunity. What a wonderful accomplishment! Josh is a true 'golden star' of our district and the choral program is blessed to have his talents,” said Zeiler.
Josh is the son of Philip & Christa Beck of Natrona Heights.
CONGRATULATIONS, Josh! Highlands is proud of you!
