    REMINDER: DUE TO THE SCHOOL CLOSURE, ALL HIGHLANDS SCHOOL BUILDINGS ARE CLOSED TO THE PUBLIC, with the exception of student work pick up day on Thursday, March 19 at HMS, HES & HECC and the grab and go lunch distribution from 11am-1pm at HHS & HES. 

    The Administrative Center Office has limited hours during the school closure. Please call 724-226-2400 in advance prior to visiting the office for any reason. Email is the preferred communication method at this time. Please refer to the Administrative Directory or Staff Directory for a list of contacts. 

    STUDENT LUNCHES - locations added for March 18

    Community organizations are coordinating four additional locations for student lunch pick up on March 18 only. The Highlands Partnership Network, in partnership with the Highlands School District, Allegheny Family Network North shuttle, The Building Block of Natrona and the Salvation Army are coordinating four additional locations for school lunches to be picked up in the Highlands School District area. Parents or students can pick up school lunches on Wednesday, March 18 (locations and approximate times listed below):

    First Avenue and Bridge Street at The Friendship Garden, Tarentum at 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM

    Salvation Army, 917 Brackenridge Avenue, Brackenridge at 10:30 AM - 11:30 AM

    Natrona Playground, River Road, Natrona at 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM

    Village Green Apartments, 240 Village Green Drive, Natrona Heights at 10:30 AM – 11:30 AM


    Packed lunches are for current Highlands School District students in grades Pre-K to 12. Each student may receive three bags each for the remainder of this week. Packed lunch bags will include non-perishable breakfast items. Parents or students may pick up the lunch bags at this location until the supply is exhausted.

    Volunteers will be practicing under suggested guidelines during distribution, including maintaining distance between volunteers and recipients, sanitizing tables and changing gloves.

    Parents or students who are exhibiting signs of illness are recommended to stay home. Those in need of food or other services in the local area can message the Highlands Partnership Network on its Facebook page or call 2-1-1 for assistance and resources.
