• Student Retention

Teachers will maintain regular communication with families on student progress especially if a student has failed daily assignments several times or has failed a test. This ongoing communication is designed to help curb any possibilities of failure by engaging the child’s entire educational team. If the school or parent believes that the child is not developmentally prepared for the following grade, the team will meet as early as fall to discuss interventions and supports. The team may decide to retain a child in certain cases after consistent collaboration and teamwork.
