Throughout this year, your child will participate in numerous fun experiments while they learn! We will study the following units:
VARIABLES: Students learn how scientists organize and carry out research while they explore how changing variables can change the outcome of an experiment. Students will build pendulums, lifeboats, airplanes, and work with catapaults!
MOTION & DESIGN: Students will use Conex pieces to build vehicles that move and perform tasks.
ECOSYSTEMS: Students will build a class ecosystem and monitor the growth of plants (grass, mustard sprouts, elodea, duckweed) and critters (mosquito fish, aquatic snails, crickets, isopods)!
Throughout the year, students will be required to maintain an organized Science Notebook.
