General InformationHours of Operation
The Middle School Library Media Center is open to students during the school day. Students must have a signed agenda to access the Media Center. Students are welcome to use the computers for research and school work, read magazines and/or books, and choose items to check out. Students are encouraged to come to the library during study skills (with a pass) class for ten minutes at a time.
Technology is incorporated into instruction and research on a daily basis. We have desktop and laptop computers for student use and a SMARTBoard for our teachers and Librarian to use.
About the Library
The library is comprised of several sections Fiction, Story Collection, Non-Fiction, and Reference. Students are permitted to check out items from each section.
Books may be taken out for two weeks (excluding certain reference books) and magazines may be taken out overnight. Late items accrue a $ .05 per day fine. After several overdue notices and several weeks, students will be responsible for the cost of an item.
Students are expected to follow all building rules in the Library, along with the following:
No food, drink, or gum allowed. One warning is given, then students will receive a detention.Treat the library and its materials with care and respect.Follow the computer guidelines.
