Winners Selected in 1st Quarter Inventionland Contest
11/09/2022
In late October, the Highlands Middle School 6th Grade Innovation Class participated in the Inventionland Institute’s first quarterly competition.
In preparation for the competition, the students worked individually or in small teams to brainstorm invention ideas. They researched their concepts, built prototypes and learned how to package and market their inventions. During the competition days, the students pitched their invention idea to the judges, who then selected the winning inventions!
First Place winners from each quarter will compete in the Regional Inventionland competition in May 2023.
Taught by Mrs. Marcie Wallace, the Innovation class is standards-aligned and modeled after the same inventing processes used by Inventionland, a long-standing, Western PA-based design and invention factory.
Congratulations to the 1st Quarter Winners!
