RAMS-Mart "Pink" Sales Benefit Komen Foundation
In recognition of October’s Breast Cancer Awareness month, the Highlands Middle School RAMS-Mart store “turned pink” the week of October 22-26! All of the proceeds from the sale of the pink merchandise was donated to the Susan G. Komen Foundation of Pittsburgh.
The RAMS-Mart staff thanks everyone at the Middle School for supporting Breast Cancer Awareness Month, Pink Out Day on October 26, and the Susan G. Komen Foundation with their purchases and donations, totaling $380!
A special thank you to 5th graders Adele Misejka, Hannah Misejka, and Chloe Pacek, who raised money with a lemonade stand this past summer and donated the $33.24 to the breast cancer awareness cause.
“It was great to see so much willingness to contribute and buy pink. All of the PINK on October 26 looked amazing. Thank you to everyone for all the support and participation. Hopefully, cures for all cancers can be found soon,” said Mr. Chris Resek, 7th grade science teacher / RAMS-Mart.
