    Forbes Road Career and Technology Center

     
    Highlands High School students have the opportunity to choose and attend Forbes Road Career and Technology Center as part of their plan of study at Highlands.  Students begin the FRCTC as sophomores and continue through graduation, earning a Highlands diploma in addition to recognized industry credits.

    Forbes Road Career and Technology Center was founded in 1959 to provide quality career and technical education to high school students and adults in our area. For nearly five decades, our mission of providing students with the knowledge and skills needed to be successful in their chosen career remains the same.

    What is career and technical education?

    The key to a successful and productive society is found in maintaining a highly qualified, skilled and educated workforce. Technical jobs are very much in demand today. Nearly half of the jobs on the market today require advanced technical training. Forbes Road CTC is dedicated to providing high school students and adults with the education and skills they need to be successfully employed after graduation or to advance to postsecondary education. 

    Our students also have the opportunity to earn recognized industry credentials while still in high school. These credentials can help students find jobs, save money and be successful within their field of study.
