Here at Highlands Elementary School, we have high expectations for our students. Each day at Highlands Elementary School, we expect the children to listen and learn. While doing so, we must be sure that all children are safe. So that all children are able to learn in a safe environment, we focus on four main expectations.
The children are expected to be: Respectful, Accountable, Motivated, and Safe. (The list below are the behaviors we look for to receive Dojo points.)
R – Respectful
Raise your hand to speak
Show respect to yourself and others
Use good manners- Use the appropriate voice level
A – Accountable
Come to school on time and ready to learn
Complete your work on time
Follow adult directions the first time- Keep my desk and area clean
M – Motivated
Be attentive and focused
Have a positive attitude
Participate in learning activities- Try your BEST
S – Safe

Keep a safe distance
Keep hands, feet, and objects to yourself- Walk safely throughout the school building
