• Library Policies

    All students are assigned a patron number for use with our library automation system.
     
    Students are welcomed and encouraged to exchange books each library class.
     
    A student may not check out a book if he/she already has a book checked out.  A book must first be returned and then the student may check another book out.
     
    Books may be kept up to two weeks.  At that time, the student has the option of returning the book or renewing the book for two more weeks.  Books may only be renewed once.

    In the event a book is lost or damaged the parents/guardians of the student will be asked to pay for the book.  Checks are made payable to the Highlands School District. Another book cannot be checked out  until the fee is paid.  Should the book be found and returned in good condition, the amount that was paid will be reimbursed.
